Man goes to file complaint,but rather steals policeman's shoes and leaves.
MUMBAI:34-year-old Shyam Rokde went to the police station to lodge a complaint of assault by some locals on January 31,but did the unusual.
The Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Lomte had came to the station in his civilian clothes,after changing into his official uniform he kept his sports shoes under a cupboard outside his cabin on the first floor.
However,when Rokde was leaving the building he stole the shoes.
At about 8pm,when the officer was changing back into his civilian clothes,he noticed his shoes were missing.
In order to locate his missing shoes,Insp.Lomte had scanned the day's CCTV footage to find that Rokde had stolen the shoes.
The next day Insp.Lomte sent some cops to track Rokde.While hunting for him,they learnt that Rokde had attacked a BMC employer identified as Mahesh Palve,with a blade for refusing to give him money he demanded from him.
The cops also learnt that Rokde had already sold the shoes for R300.
Rokde was also found to be a drug addict.He was later arrested.
