ZIMBABWE:A pastor in Gutu district of Masvingo has landed in trouble after he alldgedly gave a married female member whoes husband had been away for some weeks a parcel of undies as gift. According to reports,the confused woman was said to have reported the unholy gesture to her husband,indentified as Machinguata. Machinguata who was not happy about the pastor's suspecious generousity towards his wife took the matter to a local chief. The chief who was indentified as Nyamadi,ordered pastor Bhera to pay $400 or bovine beast. But the pastor was not happy about the judgement and so filed an appeal to the Gutu Magistrates Court where he also lost. Pastor Bhera later appealed to the High Court where the judge,Justice Alphas Chitakunye laughed him away. In his ruling he said:"There was virtually no merit(in the appeal).The evidence led clearly favoured the respondent's(husband)case.The magistrate's finding on credibility cannot be said to be so unreasonable as to warrant his court's interferance."
