Cyberbullying led 18-year-old Texas teen to commit suicide.
HOUSTING,TEXAS:Brandy Vela an 18-year-old Houston,Texas teen reportedly took her own life in front of her relatives on Tuesday due to unrelenting cyberbulling.
According to reports,the Texas High School senior before her death,was said to have spoken out about her torment from being cyberbullied.
Brandy's 22-year-old sister,Jacqueline Vela told how fellow students had taken to making'fake dating profiles of Brandy.'They would put her picture and lie about her age and say she is giving herself up for sex for free,to call her.
Along with the fake social media accounts,there were also the harassing phone calls.
It was said that the school authority tried to investgate the issue,only to hit a brick wall,with the number in use being untraceable.
Investigators believed that the perpetrators were using an app that does not allow the caller's real numbers to appear.
The police are still invstigating the case,but to date no arrests have been made.
