MERFAT,23,put her little baby girl into bed for the night and also retired to her own room in the house she shared with her 59-year-old father,Faraj,in Sohag,Egypt. Merfat was soon to awoke to the cries of her little girl,coming from her father's room. She walked to her father's room and opened the door to find her two-year-old daughter Grace Ahmed,being violently raped by Faraj,the child's own grandfather. However,rather than attacking her daughter's rapist,Merfat did the unimaginable. She ran some bath water in a small tub,undress the girl and placed her terrified,bleeding baby inside. Little Grace was held underwater until she drown. Chief Dectective Ali Akhmin told reporters that doctors found traces of blood in the child's anus,showing that the little girl suffered terribly before her death. Merfat and her father,Faraj were arrested and charged for murder and rape respectively. According to Merfat,she murdered her little daughter to avoid scandal in the large Muslim town.
