About 20 suspected terrorists killed in Khyber blitz
Report issued by Inter Services Public Relations(ISPR) said about 20 suspected terrorists were killed during air strikes in Khyber on Friday.
The statement also confirmed that 18 terrorists were as well wounded in the air strikes.
Those killed includes some top militant commanders. But details could not be verified as access of journalists to the area was restricted.
The air strikes came amid the ongoing Khyber-2 operation launched by the army in the tribal region.
It was part of the military's stepped-up action following a militant attack in 2014 that left 150 people dead, mostly children,at Peshawar's Army Public School.
The Peshawar incident came months after the Army launched Zarb-i-Azb,a grand operation in the north Waziristan tribal region, after a Taliban claimed attack on the Jinnah Internaional Airport in Karachi.
Khyber is a stronghold of Tehreek-i-Taliban and an allied group called Lashkar-i-Islam militants.
