Friday evening,over 120 perssengers including the Director,Muslim Rights Concern,Prof.Ishaq Akintola escaped death as the plane they were travelling in developed fault mid-air. The plane,flight 180 belonging to Aero Contractors,was enroute Kaduna when it developed technical fault mid-air 20 minutes after take off from the domestic wing of Murtala Mohammed Airport,Lagos. According to Prof.Ishaq,the plane took off at exactly 6.30pm local time and suddenly lost altitude 20 minutes after and wobbled in the air for more than an hour before it was diverted to Abuja. He said the passengers have to make use of the oxygen mask.Therewas smokes from the engine compartment and the whole plane was thrown into panic.People screaming and praying. The plane was quickly diverted to Abuja by the control tower,where it taxed down safely. A confirmation from the management said there was depressurissation in the aircraft cabin leading to the dropping of oxygen mask.And the craft have to be diverted to Abuja to fix it.
