Amnesty Internatioal accuses Nigerian minitary over 8,000 BH deaths.
Amnesty International has accused the Nigerian minitary of human rights abuse in the campaign against Boko Haram.
The human rights group claimed the minitary delibrately killed many by summary executions,starvation,held in overcrowded and insanitary prisons.
The group claimed that about 8,000 people died through these abusive means in the six years minitary operations in the northeast Nigeria.
The group therefore,called for investigations into the conduct of five highranking minitary officials who were incharge of the operetions in the past three years,including two chiefs of the army staff and two chiefs of the defence staff.
The group sited example of 27 cases of extrajudicial executions,including one they said took place in March,2014.
It said about 640 young men and boys were killed in the aftermath of Boko Haram attack on a minitary prison at Giwa barracks in the northeastern of Maiduguri.
After which the minitary routinely rounded up and shots thousands of people found in Boko Haram strongholds.
