In not less than 17hours from the first attack on the city of Maiduguri,the Boko Haram fighters struck again.
First attack came late night on Friday at around 23.00hours,fews hours after President Mohammadu Buhari's inauguration speech in which he vowed to crush the Islamist.
The Islamist were repelled.But on Saturday afternoon at around 15.30hours they struck again at a mosque killing 18 people.
An anonymous security source disclosed that a suspected Boko Haram sucide bomber entered the mosque close to the Monday Market and detonate.
About 30 people sustained verious degrees of injuries,while 18 people were confirmed dead.
However,witnesses who were close to the scene said they were not certain the numbers would not rise owing to the critical conditions of the injured rushed to the hospital.
It would be recalled that President Buhari ordered the relocation of the millitary command centre to Maiduguri in his inauguration speech for the millitary to better deal with the situation.
