KOGI-NIGERIA:A High Court sitting in Koton-Karfi in Kogi state on Monday sentenced a herbalist,Ibrahim Muhammad to death by hanging after he was found guilty for the murder of two brothers,Abubarka and Mohammed. According to the Police First Information Report,Muhammad committed the offence in January 2016 at Kungbani village in Kogi local government area. He was said to have robbed the two brothers off a Toyota Carina E Wagon with registration number NIGER:BDA 902AA and later poisoned them.And when the poison did not kill them,he quickened their death by using pestle to hit them severally on the head until they died and then buried them in his compound. Later investigations by the police unearthend the plot which led to the discovery of the buried bodies. In his judgement,the Presiding Judge,Justice Alaba Omolaye-Ajileye who sentenced the convict to death described his act as "high level of exceptional wickedness",which deserved nothing but death.
