A court in Lagos Nigeria yesterday stopped National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,NDLEA,from its seige on the residence of Mr.kashamu (pictured)in Lagos. The order for the NDLEA to vacate the premises of the senator-elect hence,mared his arrest and subsequent extradition to the US on drug related charges commited years back. Earlier,the NDLEA had stated that the agency have got a request from the US government for Mr.Kashamu's extadition. However,Mr Kashamu had filled a foundamental right suit against the IGP,NDLEA,SSS,the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice,the Nigeria Customs,the Nigeria Immigration Services,and the chairman of the NDLEA,Ahmadu Giade. Meanwhile,delievering his ruling,Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Lagos said,while the court does not stop the NDLEA or police from its investigation or possible arrest and extradition,yet it must follow due process of the extradition act.
