Th Nigeria National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA)has stated that the agency will not vacate the embattled senate-elect's residence in Lagos despite a court order issued on Tuesday to vacate.
The agency stated that they are acting within the agency's statutory role.Therefore,for any court to stop such role is illegal,the agency's Head of Public Affairs stated.
The agency said his rights as other citizens shall be maintained,but the monitoring of his home will remain under due process of the law.
The agency confirmed that despite his attorneys claim,the NDLEA spoksman said,NDLEA have received request from the US government for his extradition and arrest warrant.
According to official record,the NDLEA said,Mr.Kashamu has been wanted by both the US Drug Enforcement Administration(DEA) and Immigration.
Also on the wanted list of Customs Enforcement(ICE) of the Department of Homeland Security(DHS),and Grand Jury in the Northern District of Illinois,US on drug trafficking charges for more than 20-years.
