About 230 people have died within the past five weeks in two south-east India states in a heat wave that descended on the states,officials said. The statement said that more than 100 people died from the horrible heat in Andha Pradesh state in the last week. And in the neighbouring Telangana state were about 130 deaths of the same case. Temperatures in Telangana,Khammam distric was said to have soared to more than 48 degrees Celsius(118 Fahrenheit) in the day. An official,Meena,said 16 people had died in the distric as a result of the heat in the last three days. People have been asked to stay indoors at midday to avoid getting sun stroke due high temperatures and blistering winds,health authorities adviced. Meanwhile,roads and markets were deserted in all the major cities and towns in the two states affected. And weather authorities said the high temperatures situation could continue for another week.
